One of the most charming and pleasing names, the name “Imam al-Husain” implies noble characteristics and most admirable qualities. Yet, it mysteriously inspires his adherents and admirers to carry out their most sincere duties and modes of servitude, simply for the sake of meeting his satisfaction. The compiler of the present volume simply aspires to be regarded as one such person.

Vanguard of light

Vanguard of light This collection in your hand comprises of twelve pure traditions concerning Hazrat Mahdi (a.s.) with six of them quoted from the famous books of eminent Sunni scholars and the other six narrated from famous Shiite sources. These traditions along with their translation and brief explanation are expressed in very concise, attractive and fluent manner. A brief glance over them can acquaint you with the dimension of Imam Mahdi’s advent, the manner of his rule and the glad tidings given by the holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) and Imams (a.s.) concerning him. One point that can clearly be observed in these traditions is that the matter of universal government of Imam Mahdi (a.s.) is much higher than what a few among the ignorant can imagine. Besides, you can perceive this truth that awaiting his advent calls for spiritual, material, mental and physical preparedness and everyone claiming to be awaiting his advent cannot be labelled a true follower.

A reply to: "belief of mahdism in shia imamia"

A reply to: "belief of mahdism in shia imamia" The form of research varies and the outlook differs in inves¬tigations about the religious matters and those of the faith of those who believe in God and the unseen world, The acceptance of this truth, or in other words, such a view of the universe that the world is created by God, in it is a subject that entails research. With regards to Islam we hold belief in God’s existence and His being omnipotent, All Knowing, Almighty, All Wise and that He sent the Messengers for the guidance of the people. Obviously in such a way of investigation we connect the Mis¬sion of Muhammad to God Himself. Now the validity of this connection is to be explored.

Ahl-e-bait and caliphate

Ahl-e-bait and caliphate Considering that one of the matters repeatedly discussed in Nahjul-Balagha is the matter of Ahl-e-bait and Caliphate, it is necessary to take up this discussion - which is related to the special topic of Caliphate after the Holy Prophet and the exclusive position of Ahl-e-bait among the people. The ideas, which have been set forth in this regard, consist of the following: (a) The distinguished and extra-ordinary position of Ahl-e-bait and the fact that their knowledge and gnosis originates from an exceptional source and that they cannot be compared with others. (b) Preference and priority of Ahl-e-bait especially Amir-ul-Momineen’s (A.S.) right to the seat of Caliphate either by decree of will or by decree of kinship. (c) Criticism of the Caliphs. (d) The philosophy behind Ali’s forbearance and tolerance with regard to his definite right and its limits wherein Ali has neither exceeded those limits nor fell short of them.

Imamat and Wilayat

Imamat and Wilayat Besides, knowledge and acquaintance (alone) are not sufficient for reaching the extreme end. Rather, a power commensurate with all these is necessary too. As per the Unique God’s explanation, man has been created weak. Thus, a competent scholar should, under the auspices of his knowledge and ability and on the basis of his love and sympathy make the human beings stand upright and walk. That is to say, there should exist guidance as well as a guide to accompany man so long as man remains in the state of anxiety.

Manner of Awaiting

Manner of Awaiting Awaiting (Entezar) means to have hope and expectation by heart of Imam’s advent, which springs from recognition and faith in his advent. Such an act carries numerous spiritual rewards and values.1 Like other forms of worship, awaiting (Entezar) enjoys practical qualitative dimensions such that our divine leaders have laid great emphasis and reckoned its observance as a duty and responsibility for the people during the period of occultation. The writings that you have at hand are a selection of those very divine duties and responsibilities, which we have compiled for recalling and reminding ourselves about them. Of course, numerous scholars and researchers have expressed this matter very beautifully and eloquently thus leaving behind invaluable effects to their credit.

The Gardener of garden of tawheed

The Gardener of garden of tawheed The desert was burning in the scorching sun. Dryness and barren land had engulfed wherever vision could see. No shade of any tree could welcome a passer-by for a relaxation. The thirsty land in that hot weather was burning in the effervescence of the Sun. The flame of the scorching land was rising: a mirage was being formed in the mind of every thirsty wayfarer who dreamed of enjoyment and pleasure. The dream of lake, with its lucid water and casing a shadow on many palm groves and living being seeking refuge under the assault of a hot and shelter less desert…
